Er..?

i've lost my ability to blog.

eh. somehow it doesn't come to me as easily as before.

damn.

southpark is going down the drain and i'm so pissed because the latest episode totally and utterly sucks. i wish they'd end it soon. REAL SOON before it becomes the Meteor Garden manga - producing more episodes for the sake of $$. >:(

2 dollar tissue paper

  • Watched Oliver Twist last night - it wasn't that good, not as vivid as reading the book.

blah blah blah... nothing special, but there was this old lady by the escalator leading to the Sommerset MRT station selling tissues, packets of instant milo, cereal, etc etc. I kinda felt like "doing a good deed" so I walked up to her and passed her a one dollar coin, expecting her to pass me like 3 packets of tissues or something.

But NOOooooo....

She looked at me with a blank face and said

"2 dollars."

Me : "huh?"

her : "2 dollars."

Me : "No, I only want one packet of tissue."

her : " 2 dollars."

Me (thinking) : .....What the...... huh?!?!?

then i passed her another one dollar coin and got a packet of tissue for two dollars. :/

i think the worst part was when i was actually hesitating, deciding whether should i or not take back the one dollar i have already given her.

dammit. that old lady is a shrewd business woman.

Hmm...

Oh gawd they screwed up my add/drop. fucking shiet! they added kinetic typo without dropping any of my other subjects. ARGH. nevermind. i'll try to survive this sem.

in other news...

i think after the china trip i've gained the urgency to learn more and learn fast.

i might not update this blog as frequently as before. i've sort of lost interest in blogging and antagonising people on the blogsphere.

that's good, methinks.

- - - - -

just returned from watching Feels like Heaven and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Feels like Heaven (featuring Reese Witherspoon and this other lame latino(?) guy i dunno the name) is just fucking bullcrap wrapped up in 500 different kinds of cheese. I almost puked my balls out. Not worth 9.50. damn.

BUT.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose IS FREAKING AWESOME!! OMGGGG!!!!! AWESOME! One of the best horror movies I've ever watched - not that it is really a horror movie, but IT IS STILL AWESOME!!!!!! The actress playing Emily Rose was superb. the soundtrack was superb. SUPERB!!

And NANA Vol. 13 is out. YAY!

off i go before i spout anymore lame insubstantial bullcrap you don't really want to read.

Rant..?

You know some people are just so selfish and kiasu they will keep every single little precious bit of information to themselves just to try get better grades?

There's this guy in my course who is just like that and he friggin pissed me off today.

(5 mins late for class)

Me (whisper) : so, what did the lect say just now?

Him : oh, nothing important.

Me : oh, okay. (turns around)

Me : hey, what did the lect say just now?

Random Girl : blah blah blah... blah blah blah blah...... dot dot dot....dot dot dots....

Me : Okay, thanks.

GRRRRRRRRRR.... of course there is no obligation on that asshole's part to keep me informed of what was going on, especially since it was obviously my fault for being late in the first place, but would it fucking kill him to at least have the courtesy to tell me to ask somebody else because he wasn't willing to share the information?

so when i met him in the library later that day, after class, i was feeling particularly vindictive.

Me : (holding on to the book the lecturer reccomended + a few other relevant books)

Him : Hey, er, is that the only book?

Me : Yeah, i suppose.

Him : are you going to borrow that?

Me : Yeah.

Him : Er... Nothing. Can you pass it to me after you're done?

Me : Oh sorry, another guy reserved it. (okie, i admit. nobody else reserved it.) You have to wait for your turn.

Him : Er, so you're going to borrow all of it?

Me : (Carrying 5 hardcover tomes weighing at least 1 kg EACH)

Me : Yeah.

Him : Oh, okay.

Actually i wasn't planning to borrow all of it. but since he wanted them, i decided to spite him and borrow all of them even if i had to lug them all the friggin way home. BAHAHAHAHHA.

hmph!

in other news -

my line animation lecturer is ronald, the frigging scary guy who taught me drawing fundamentals in my first sem.

he made us do a quick 5 min sketch of a running man today. and after we passed it up to him, he marked it, dated it, and crumpled all those that he thought were lousy and threw it into the wastepaper dustbin.

out of 15 sketches, only 4 survived. i was one of the survivors. damned i'm happy. :X

Grace came over to my house today after refering to a map that chunz drew. LOL. because as usual, i didn't check and charge my phone. BAHAHAHA. she's sleeping over tonight. -.-"

I'M BACK!

HEya folks! I'm back! did you guys miss me? i know you didn't. Bahhhh...

Anyways, the exchange was great! Too many details too little time and I'm gonna be selfish and keep those memories to myself. :P It's amazing how i got so attached to the place in so little time. I didn't want to come home. T_T~

One thing though, I bought over 10 kgs worth of design books. WHHEEEHHEEE!! Those are like damned cheap in China and the print quality rivals those you find in Page One in Kino (or is it chapter one? i forgot.) Not to mention all the DVDs and CDs!! My heart was pounding when I cleared customs. Didn't tio spot check. Heng man.

I'm still not acclimatized to Singapore's weather. IT IS TOO HOT! omfg. When you wear 4 layers of clothes for a month, you just know you are going to die when you come back to singapore. I'm babbling...

Just to let you guys not read this in vain, I shall blog about the 3 day Shanghai trip.

Basically nothing much, went to the tourisy areas with my friends, got lost, snapped pretty pictures of the gorgeous architect blah blah blah.. the usual stuff UNTIL we went clubbing and found a jazz & blues pub/bar that was OMFG fantastic on the second night. First drink was 80RMB, tried the Singapore Sling. (Isn't it ironic that I have to try the Singapore Sling in Shanghai? Dammit.)

>> more babbling - I used to like blues ALOT until I got bored of it because nothing can beat watching blues musicians live. Recordings spoil the spontaneity that characterise the blues. + watching them play is like FWOARHH How the hell can they be THAT fucking good?!?

back to topic

so me and grace got their album (listen to samples here) and went back the next night because they had a jammin' session with other musicians which was like great!! And since it was the last night i was determined to spend all my RMB therefore :

1 Cosmopolitan
1 Pina Colada
1 shot of Vodka
1 Bacardi
1 Kami Kaze (this stuff is potent)
Half a Margarita (stolen from chun yi because she gets drunk easily and i need her to wake up in the morning for the flight)
Half a bottle of (FREE) wine that Richard gave me, because Grace didn't like the taste and I hate wasting wine.

then we got invited to another jazz pub because Blues and Jazz closes at 1.30 pm, so we hopped on the car with Richard (this guy from New Zealand we knew at the bar) and C...? I don't remember her name but she looks like a tranny but can sing damned well, sorta broadway-ish though complete with exaggerated tranny movements - (think Chicago.)

We reached JZ in like around 5-10 minutes, all the while the trannny-look-alike was singing and getting high and making us do dumb stuff. Gawd she's an asshole, but nevermind. Free ride to the club.

JZ is a pub where Jazz/Blues musicians go to chill out after their gigs, so there were alot of spontaneous acts and songs on stage. There was this lady who sang like Aretha Franklin and frankly, it was pretty depressing watching these talented people get so little recognition. damn.

blah blah blah.. so we stayed till 4.30 am and i was still completely sober except that my mouth was running on motor acid and all that came out were sarcastic remarks. (Gahah. Oops.)

spent the rest of the time packing the luggage and getting ready to go to the lobby at around 6.30 am which meant I didn't get any sleep at all. Fwooh!

and after a whole lot of confusion at the airport (both Shanghai and Singapore) i got back and went to eat at Sakae Sushi at Terminal 2.

I love sushi. I love sashimi. Yum.

I love the big toilet pipes in Singapore.

sorry for the babbling, i'm still suffering from jet lag and my english has gone down the tiny chinese toilet pipes after speaking and reading chinese for a month.
